Individuals in this role should be detail-oriented and have strong communication, customer service and organizational skills.
The expectation is that the Bookkeeper will support the Controller that will allow him/her to spend a greater portion of his/her time on Financial Statement preparation and analysis, Budget and Variance issues, and Forecasting.
Responsiblities include:
Reconcile daily cash receipts to the Store / Boat Rentals and the Service Dept.
/ Storage & Dockage Dept.
Reconcile and post boat rental credit card transactions.
Maintain cash banks for the Store.
Maintain and reconcile petty cash account.
Prepare and make bank deposits.
Perform month end bank accounts reconciliation.
Prepares and files monthly sales tax.
Conduct account research and analysis to resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts to the general ledger.
Post and reconcile credit card accounts.
Perform month end bank accounts reconciliation.
Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
Assist with monthly closings and annual audit.
Assist in financial analysis as requested.
Keep Controller informed of any issues that require attention.
Maintain and clear all intercompany A/R accounts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
