Your hobbies include kayaking, boating, fishing, or environmental work? We are offering two different positions here at Florida Adventures and Rentals, Kayak Guide and Boat Guide.
First off, let us tell you about our company.
We are an ecotour company based on Marco Island, FL where we provide Dolphin, Shelling and Ecotours.
Our focus during the tours is to educate our guests about the ecosystem and wildlife that we come across.
A majority of our staff are active in the community working for the turtle nesting season, doing manatee research, or students finishing their degrees in the related field.
Our company also participates in environmental outreach by providing beach cleanups, volunteering with Audubon, and donating to various organizations.
Preferred
Qualifications:
kayaking or boating experience, Degree in Biology, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or similar, Florida Naturalist Certifications, Education or guiding experience Minimum qualifications for the positions are below:
(Paid training is provided) Ability to perform on-your-feet routine physical activity Ability to learn and memorize historical details Ability to be heard in a loud, audible voice without amplification by an audience up to 17 persons Ability to give information during the tour Ability to tolerate a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions Ability to handle stressful situations and difficult people while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with the guests Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Job Types:
